The Inhibitor Collar was a device designed by Trask Industries. It's purpose was similar to that of the Leech Cure, suppress the X-Gene. Whilst the Inhibitor Collar could not direclty do that, it was able to prevent a mutant from using his powers. It was designed to stop mutants from escaping Camp X-Ray. As mutant distrust grew, the Inhibitor Collar became law within the United States of America for all known members of mutant humanity.
